New Orleans, LA – A tragic car accident on the evening of January 7th has left one person dead and others injured. The collision occurred at the intersection of Hayne and Crowder Boulevards around 8:47 p.m., shattering the peace of the Sunday night.
According to initial reports, a vehicle traveling westbound on Hayne Boulevard attempted a left turn onto Crowder Boulevard and collided with an eastbound car.
Emergency medical services swiftly responded to the scene and transported all occupants involved to a local hospital. Sadly, one adult male succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The identities of the deceased and other individuals involved have not yet been officially released.
The New Orleans Police Department’s Traffic Fatality Unit is currently investigating the accident and requests anyone with additional information contact investigators at 504-658-6205.
