New Orleans, La. – A worrying incident unfolded on the evening of January 10th in New Orleans, as a car collided with a school bus at the intersection of Gordon and North Galvez streets. While details remain fluid, the initial reports paint a concerning picture.

According to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), three students were present on the bus at the time of the accident. One student sustained an injury, though the extent of the injury is not yet confirmed. Two men, believed to be occupants of the car, fled the scene on foot. One of these individuals was subsequently struck by another vehicle and transported to a nearby hospital.

• Be extra attentive when approaching or passing a school bus.
• Always come to a complete stop when a school bus is stopped with flashing lights, regardless of the direction you’re traveling.
• Never overtake a school bus when it is stopped for loading or unloading passengers.
