Hammond, La. - Two Men Die in Single-Vehicle Crash on Wardline Road

The Incident

On January 27, 2024, shortly after midnight, a single-vehicle crash occurred on Wardline Road in Hammond, Louisiana.

Cause Under Investigation

The crash involved a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country van driven by 64-year-old Jimmy Ray Barnes. The van veered off the road and struck several trees. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Aftermath

Both Jimmy Ray Barnes and his passenger, 58-year-old Cleveland Barnes, were pronounced dead at the scene.
