Ponchatoula, La. - Hwy 22 Crash Claims Life of Young Woman

The Incident

On Tuesday, February 6th, 2024, a two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of CC Road and LA Hwy 22 in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. 22-year-old Anjel Wilcox, driving a Honda CRV southbound on CC Road, collided with a westbound Ram 2500.

Cause Under Investigation

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. However, the preliminary details show that, for unknown reasons, Wilcox failed to stop at the intersection. Louisiana State Police are analyzing toxicology samples from both drivers as part of their ongoing inquiry.

Aftermath

Wilcox sustained severe injuries in the crash and later passed away at the hospital. The driver of the Ram sustained moderate injuries but is expected to recover.
